The Scottish Decorators' Federation is the national trade association for all types of firms involved in the decorating industry in Scotland.

As the national trade association for the Industry, the Federation places great emphasis on quality and reliability, and the best advice we can give a customer who wished to have work done, in a professional manner, is to ensure that the decorator they select is a member of The Scottish Decorators' Federation.

Federation for advice
Customers using Federation members can contact the Federation for advice relating to any decorating work undertaken by a member firm. In the event that a dispute arises, the customer can contact the Federation who will advise them on the operation of our complaints procedure which involves the use of our Code of Fair Trading.

Low cost Guarantee
The Federation also offers a low cost Guarantee of Work Scheme under which all domestic work (within generous financial limits) is guaranteed to be undertaken to a satisfactory standard. In the event of any difficulties arising, the Federation guarantees that the work will be completed either by the original contractor or by another member firm.
